The Toreador Disciplines have been handed down from sire to childe for millenia. They are as diverse as they are mighty, the secrets of our blood.

Auspex - Presence - Celerity

Auspex
This discipline pretty much speaks for itself. It lets you sense things that you wouldn’t normally sense, from obfuscated vampires to the thoughts of others.

Another hint for those who have developed this discipline, when you see someone powerful obfuscating around the place, simply place a word or two in the Princes/sheriff's’ mind, and talk about the weather. One of the worst things you can do when you see a 7" foot Potence enriched Nosferatu walking around is to alert said vampire that you can see them. All too many vampires hold by the ‘no witnesses policy.

The big power for Auspex users to develop is Telepathy. Apart from being a wonderful tool for discerning the truth, it also allows you to dominate telepathically. In the middle of the Prince’s court, when some neonate is going to spill all sorts of dirty laundry that you would prefer remain hidden, a simple glance is enough to make him forget everything, or even better, remember something totally false. If you fail, then what are they going to say? "He’s dominating me telepathically!!" will usually just produce a gale of laughter.

The three clans who have this discipline are the Toreador, Malkavians and the Tremere. As a side note, I’d like to point out that the Tremere and Malkavians also have Dominate as an in-clan discipline. Be afraid.

"Auspex encompasses the vast array of expanded sensory powers that some Kindred experience and can develop upon the Embrace. Most Kindred fortunate enough to possess this power find it exceptionally useful not only in night-to-night survival, but also in appreciating the beauty of their surroundings. The Toreador, in particular, delight in this last aspect."
Quoted from Mind's Eye Theatre 'Laws of the Night' (page 77)
Within the three levels of skill, the various abilities are:
Basic
Heightened Senses
This Discipline can intensify any sense, but only one sense can be magnigied at any time.
Aura Perception
A Kindred with Aura Perception has honed her senses to such a degree that she can perceive and interpret auras.

Intermediate
Spirit's Touch
This Discipline allows you to sense the residual energies and impressions remaining on an object after it has been handled or touched.
Telepathy
Your preternatural senses have been honed to such a degree that you canactually recieve and transmit thoughts.

Advanced
Psychic Projection
With a conscious mental exertion, you can safely sever the bound between your spirit and your body. In this state, your invisible spirit may travel incorporally through the physical world.

Expert
Clairvoyance
You can see and hear distant events without the need for Psychic Projection.
Soul Scan
You can discover the location of anyone you know, wherever the target may be in the world.
Spirit Link
You can engage in telepathic communication with a number of people.

Presence
Wow, look at the pretty Wampire. Once again, this is a discipline that all Elders should get.

It has the most wonderful effect of letting you get on with your enemies as it they were your best buddies. They can’t bring themselves to be impolite to you, much less attack you, and if you ever get tired of them, one glance and they’re running for the hills.

The nasty part of this discipline is Summon, which can get you to move countries to attend the summons. The most ironic thing is that the moment you get this discipline, you continually think about summoning individuals and throwing a blanket party for them.

"Presense can be seen as sort of a supernatural magnitude of charisma, personality and appeal. Particularly among mortals, Kindred possessing the Discipline are often seen as being magnetic or having an intangible quality that draws people to them. While Dominate controls the logical and conscious mind, Presence appeals to the emotions of the subject. Unlike Dominate, however, Presence can affect Kindred of lower generation."
Quoted from Mind's Eye Theatre 'Laws of the Night' (page 92)
Within the three levels of skill, the various abilities are:
Basic
Dread Gaze
You are able to inject others with feelings of terror and fear by looking into their eyes.
Entrancement
This Discipline describes your ability to attract, sway and control others.

Intermediate
Summon
You can demand the immediate appearance of a person known to you, and he will come.

Advanced
Majesty
You exude an aura of power and insurmountable might. Those around you find it difficult to think about, let alone act out, offenses against your person.

Expert
Love
Similar to Entrancement, only much more compelling, this power duplicated the effects of Blood Bond for as long as the target is in your presence.
Intensification (Toreador only)
Certain Toreador, including artists, sculptors, filmmakers, photographers, writers and composers (ie Artists who create works instead of performing them) can put a part of their Presence in their work.
Rage
This power affects a number of targets as designated by the character. They begin to feel irascible and edgy, and the slightest insult wil send them into a wild rage.
Mind Numb
This power allows a Vampire to cause those around her to lose all feelings or emotions, all motivations for action.
Celerity
This is possibly one of the most ‘in-your-face’ style disciplines there is.

It is a daunting thing knowing that should a Brujah or Toreador celerity master act, you’ll need to film it with a high speed bullet-cam and then replay it in slow motion to find out what happened.

No elder should be without this discipline, though the only ones around to teach it think you are dirt if you aren’t one of them.

"After the Embrace, many vampires benefit from a variety of amazing physical improvements. One of these is the Disciplin of Celerity. This power rflects the Kindred's mastery of her form in the areas of speed and quickness."
Quoted from Mind's Eye Theatre 'Laws of the Night' (page 80)
Within the three levels of skill, the various abilities are:
Basic
Alacrity
You possess a supernatural degree of speed and coordination that outstrips both normal mortals and your fellow Kindred.
Swiftness
You can move with a shocking degree of speed. To a character using Swiftness, slower foes and bystanders often appear to be standing still.

Intermediate
Rapidity
With time and experience, you have outstripped the fledging power of Swiftness. What was once merely dazzling speed is now a mindnumbing blur of motion. In a moments's notice, you can burst into a whirlwind of destruction, crippling if not slaying, a slower opponent.

Advanced
Fleetness
Your feats of speed defy ordinary logic. To the average observer, you almost disappear when your form explodes into motion. The roar of wind in your passing extinguished small flames and causes loose clothing to whip about.

Expert
Quickness
The character is now campable of movements so fast that only a very high speed film could catch it.
Blur
Only the most advanced photographic technology available will capture images of characters using this power.
