The Toreador Disciplines have been handed down from sire to childe for millenia. They are as diverse as they are mighty, the secrets of our blood.
Auspex Another hint for those who have developed this discipline, when you see someone powerful obfuscating around the place, simply place a word or two in the Princes/sheriff's’ mind, and talk about the weather. One of the worst things you can do when you see a 7" foot Potence enriched Nosferatu walking around is to alert said vampire that you can see them. All too many vampires hold by the ‘no witnesses policy. The big power for Auspex users to develop is Telepathy. Apart from being a wonderful tool for discerning the truth, it also allows you to dominate telepathically. In the middle of the Prince’s court, when some neonate is going to spill all sorts of dirty laundry that you would prefer remain hidden, a simple glance is enough to make him forget everything, or even better, remember something totally false. If you fail, then what are they going to say? "He’s dominating me telepathically!!" will usually just produce a gale of laughter. The three clans who have this discipline are the Toreador, Malkavians and the Tremere. As a side note, I’d like to point out that the Tremere and Malkavians also have Dominate as an in-clan discipline. Be afraid.
"Auspex encompasses the vast array of expanded sensory powers that some Kindred experience and can develop upon the Embrace. Most Kindred fortunate enough to possess this power find it exceptionally useful not only in night-to-night survival, but also in appreciating the beauty of their surroundings. The Toreador, in particular, delight in this last aspect."Within the three levels of skill, the various abilities are:
Wow, look at the pretty Wampire. Once again, this is a discipline that all Elders should get. It has the most wonderful effect of letting you get on with your enemies as it they were your best buddies. They can’t bring themselves to be impolite to you, much less attack you, and if you ever get tired of them, one glance and they’re running for the hills. The nasty part of this discipline is Summon, which can get you to move countries to attend the summons. The most ironic thing is that the moment you get this discipline, you continually think about summoning individuals and throwing a blanket party for them.
"Presense can be seen as sort of a supernatural magnitude of charisma, personality and appeal. Particularly among mortals, Kindred possessing the Discipline are often seen as being magnetic or having an intangible quality that draws people to them. While Dominate controls the logical and conscious mind, Presence appeals to the emotions of the subject. Unlike Dominate, however, Presence can affect Kindred of lower generation."Within the three levels of skill, the various abilities are:
This is possibly one of the most ‘in-your-face’ style disciplines there is. It is a daunting thing knowing that should a Brujah or Toreador celerity master act, you’ll need to film it with a high speed bullet-cam and then replay it in slow motion to find out what happened. No elder should be without this discipline, though the only ones around to teach it think you are dirt if you aren’t one of them.
"After the Embrace, many vampires benefit from a variety of amazing physical improvements. One of these is the Disciplin of Celerity. This power rflects the Kindred's mastery of her form in the areas of speed and quickness."Within the three levels of skill, the various abilities are:
