Sometimes Ryouko appears to have a tail, and other times she doesn't. Does she have a tail?
Answer:
No, Ryouko does not have a tail. Ryouko has the ability to control objects which are near her. The "tail" is a part of that particular costume, and she uses her power to move it to suit her mood.

What is this "101 Facts" that people keep referring to?
Answer:
The "101 Facts" is a Japanese booklet released after the first Tenchi OAV series. It contained 101 questions and answers concerning many of the finer points and background details to the series. At one stage there was a copy translated into English available on the WWW, but it has been removed from circulation at the request of AIC/Pioneer.
If you are interested in the Japanese version, it's ISBN4-87376-084-4, and costs about 1,000 yen.

What Happened to Tenchi's cat Chibi?
Answer:
Tenchi originally found Chibi nearly dead. Tenchi brought her in and nursed her back to health , or so he thought. Ryoko actually saved Chibi by using some of her energy to keep her alive for Tenchi. When Ryoko was released, she needed her energy back so she assimilated Chibi with Ryoohki.

What are the Tenchi Specials?
Answer:
There are two Tenchi Myuo specials in existance: TM: The Night Before the Carnival - This is actually episode 7 but was called a speical because it was certain at the time wether there going to continue the OVA series or go into the TV series exclusively. TM: Mihoshi's Special - Just how silly could the story get before the fans stop buying the series? This was the breaking point for some. This come between Ep. 7 and 8.

Who is Washu's first child?
Answer:
This is just an added datum to reinforce the case that Washu's child isn't Mihoshi. In the first Gakken "mook" book, in the characters' vital stats, Mihoshi's age is stated as 23 without qualification. Characters whose chronological age is different from their appearance, like Ayeka and Ryoko, are listed with "physiological" ages (20 and 17, resp.) but Mihoshi isn't and apparently really is 23. For that matter, Kiyone is also 23. If anything, I was wondering if "Seriou" (or whatever the spelling is), Ayeka's foppish suitor in ep 13, might be related to Mihoshi, just from their similar hair, but a closer look shows some differences, like quite different ears.

Who is Washuu's second child?
Answer:
Ryoko is Washuu's second child. Ryoko was created using an egg from Washuu. Even though Washuu had nothing to do with raising Ryoko, she is still biologically the mother of Ryoko and appears to think of herself as Ryoko's mother. Ryoko, herself seems to have ambivilent feelings towards Washuu as her mother? Ryoko has never disputed the fact of Washuu being her mother she just tends to treat her more as an annoying friend than a mother.

Who is Washuu's child?
Answer:
1) Who knows? There has been some fan speculation into this matter, but there is no evidence to remotely suggest that her baby is related or linked to any of the other characters in the "Tenchi Muyou" universe.
2) Ryouko, of course!

I can't get the question numbers up!

[Followup] I can't get the question numbers up!
Answer:
By "question numbers", I am referring to the numbers used to index the proper FAQ. At this stage, there are only "suggestions", which are unnumbered, although I suppose I could number them.Once I get some free time, I will shift good suggestions to a different section, and structure them by category, etc... THEN they will have a number for each question.
Patience, this is still "beta". ^_^;;
Thanks for your support so far ppls!!

Why doesn't Tenchi go to school?
Answer:
According to "101 Facts", Yoshou arranged for Tenchi to be tutored at home after his school was destroyed in the gas explosion in Episode 1. This would explain Tenchi's reaction to Aeka's note asking him to meet her "after school" in Episode 7. It also looks like he was doing homework in his room when Ryo-oh-ki delivered the note.

Why doesn't Tenchi go to school?
Answer:
According to the "101 Facts", Tenchi withdrew on his own volition because he felt responsible for the destruction of his school. He continues to be trained under his grandfather's tutelage, but Tenchi's responsibilities seem to be limited to houstkeeping chores, tending the carrot fields and keeping the girls out of trouble. ^_^

"Tenchi Muyou" means "This end up" in Japanese. Is this deliberate?
Answer:
This has mainly become a question because of the 101 Facts, which claims that the double meaning was unintentional, something which many fans have found hard to believe. Bill MacPhee, from AIC, said on the Internet that it _was_ intentional, and when I queried him by email about the 101 Facts, he replied that he doesn't know why the 101 Facts says that, but he directly asked the creators, and it was intentional.
